User Guide
This guide is intended for users that want to use geteduroam. It provides information on how to get connected to the eduroam network. For reference, a user may need to visit https://eduroam.eduid.ng/#letswifi for more information.
geteduroam App
The geteduroam app is available for download on Stores of most mobile devices. The app is available for download on the following platforms:
- Android
- iOS
- Windows
- Huawei
Launch the app and use the following instructions to set up your mobile device to connect to the eduroam network. The app should open a screen similar to the one below:

You can now enter the search terms for your institution in the search bar.

When the institution is found and selected, the app will display the available profiles for eduroam access provided by the institution. For this manual, we use the eduID.ng geteduroam profile.

The geteduroam profile will prompt for permission to perform external authentication through the Letswifi portal redirection configured. This will additonally redirect to the discovery service for selection of a suitable identity provider:

The discovery service provides a list of institutional IdPs that may be used. The user enters the search terms for the institutional IdP:

The user selects the IdP and is redirected to the IdP login page where credentials can be provided:

After successful authentication, the user is redirected back to the geteduroam app where the profile is installed:

The user can now connect to the eduroam network using the installed profile.

MacOS
For MacOS, the user needs to directly visit https://eduroam.eduid.ng/#letswifi to download the MacOS profile. The profile will be downloaded and installed on the MacOS device. You will need to manually review this Profile under Settings for completion of the installation.
